Suddenly while using the whacker I get a huge shock through the handle - never done this earlier. I opened it upwards completely and found no frayed wires, no metal clips exposed through plastic shields/housings etc. The shock increases relative to the revving upwardly of the motor. Why is this happening and how can I set information technology? Thank you lot.
How-do-you-do That is pretty wild. The machine is using your body as a ground. You lot will need to cheque for loose bolts on the On/Off switch and on the ignition coil module. Having aforementioned issue with SRM - 230 , checked over coil and cleaned contacts yet no spark ,have to check switch . I sure it is probably the scroll with my luck.

Hello Longhair Sometimes that is caused by a bad cheque valve in the carburetor's primer base assembly (the top of the carb under the bulb that is white with the barbed outlet on information technology). Gas with ethanol tin stiffen the parts in the carb . To fix it , you will need to remove information technology, disassemble it and clean information technology. Use NO harsh solvents on it, exercise not soak it in parts washer or carb cleaner, and use NO high psi compressed air on it.

Jred Those are non the simply areas where air leaks could occur. Air could leak at the cylinder base gasket or the crankshaft seals. Can you test pinch? That is another issue. Only yes, check your intake expanse first.

I rebuilt the carburetor on my Echo SRM-225 (S03912001001 - S03912999999) Straight Shaft Trimmer (screen, accelerator pump, needle valve, etc..). The trimmer now starts fine and runs at high speed with no problem, however, the trimmer will non idle without stalling. Do you have any idea or proposition which might lead me to resolving this trouble?
How-do-you-do twright1781 I come across your machine has the ZAMA RB-K93 carburetor. Many folks have had problems with these types of carburetors. The grommet on Echo trimmer #SRM-225 has come loose at the gas tank and the trimmer will not offset. Everthing has been fine until now. Does this have to be replaced to create a vacuum?
Howdy, No a vacuum in the fuel tank is bad, non adept! There should never be a vacuum in the tank. The fuel cap is vented to go on that from happening. If the grommet shrunk up and no longer fits, I advise you install a new fuel kit, consummate with the grommet, filter , the three lines and vent cap.
Your no first problem may exist fuel related. Check inside the tank to see if the main fuel line bankrupt off of the filter. If information technology has, the fuel line will float upwards and not depict fuel correctly.You lot will take to eliminate items 1 by i to determine the no start cause. Does it have spark? Examination it.

Hi ednjudy It may need the carb adjusted. May I advise you open THE Low mixture screw on the carb well-nigh one/viii to 1/4 of a turn. IF information technology dies when off of choke it is not getting enough fuel. This aligning shall cure that. Hither are further adjusting instructions. I know the screw heads are strange. I tap a small automotive type 22 gauge plastic wire connector onto the head of the screws and plow them that way.

Hello How sometime is the SRM225? Has it always had any piece of work washed on information technology or parts replaced? The NO START is likely fuel related. Nearly 90% of the time, that is the case. Simple CHECK...Is the main fuel line in the fuel tank STILL continued to the fuel filter in the tank. One step at a time. We could practice a spark exam too...if you have a tester, if not, ground the plug to the engine (non past the electrode) but by the base and pull the starter cord. It is a lack of fuel or lack of spark that causes the no beginning.
Sometimes an overheated coil module can cause a shut downwardly and likely no start until information technology cools...if information technology isn't damaged. That is kind of rare but it tin can happen, so practice the spark test.
