Welcome to Android Fundamental! I don't recall it ways someone else is trying to log in. Stock Email apps do this kind of thing from fourth dimension to fourth dimension, fifty-fifty if your e-mail business relationship seems to exist syncing ok. Try removing the electronic mail account from the Email app, then add information technology back again.

Something random that seems to happen on rare occasions. It really happened to me a couple of days ago merely seemingly corrected itself. Information technology's weird.

I figured it out. Y'all email app lost its permissions to your email. Go to your app director and allow information technology the permissions it needs.

Tried everything, nada works. Cleared Net cache, tried removing the email business relationship from the stock email app itself and and then re-adding it, tried to re-allow app permissions via my app manager (that wasn't the consequence)... not sure what else to do. It keeps saying "hallmark failed" when I endeavour to set up my business relationship back up. It's not that I tin can't admission my email, I have the Outlook app so there's no issue at that place, it's that I don't desire to keep beingness reminded every 15 minutes until the end of time that my e-mail sign-in failed because you can delete that stock email app, simply you tin't uninstall it. Help!

For the last couple months I as well accept the constant "Sign-in failed" notifications for Yahoo Mail app on my AT&T Samsung Milky way S4, and nix tried has solved the problem. These "sign-in failed" notifications popular upwardly regularly every 30 minutes on the unmarried-finger pull-down list (with the accompanying Notifications sound !?!?!).

Now, I don't take a Yahoo Mail password I can change anymore considering back a few months ago when Yahoo announced their 2014 security alienation to Yahoo Post, they strongly recommended users switch to their Yahoo Account Key method of signin, which sends you a new sign-in countersign "Key" on your mobile phone every time yous want to login to your Yahoo Mail account wherever. This Yahoo Account Key method of login was supposedly the most secure going forrard.

But its seems like since I switched to this new Account Key sign-in method several weeks ago, although it works fine as a secure sign-in method, I started getting these constant "sign-in failed" notifications on my S4 for my chief Yahoo Mail business relationship. Samsung says it'south Yahoo'due south problem, and Yahoo Mail support info (such as it is!) has zippo on this.

Any suggestions to cease these "sign-in failed" popups for someone using the Yahoo Account Key method of sign-in?

I am about to destroy my Galaxy S4 and my laptop and go a landline and an answering automobile. I am utterly sick of owning a device that works so inconsistently poorly and needs so much attending. I am a mechanic and would be ashamed to pattern something this unreliable.
I become a "Sign-in failed" notification. Constantly. Firstly, on what account? Nowhere does information technology say. Secondly, to do anything about it you need a countersign. Problem is, no passwords that I've e'er generated are recognized. Fifty-fifty the one I changed on my Google business relationship yesterday. Because I had to "Update my password". It took 12 tries before it would accept any new password at all and that countersign doesn't work on "Sign-in failed" in the phone. Is this business relationship even Gmail?
    I AM FED UP!

This just started happening to me on my Milky way S5. That abrasive bell rang at 2:45 am. I did alter my outlook countersign using my browser on my laptop yesterday. Now my phone says sign-in failed and this bong rings. Information technology says my server password has changed, (information technology has,) only when I put the new countersign in, it goes into a never-ending action that says Checking incoming server settings. I tried deleting the account, restarting the telephone, adding the account back. Still afterward I enter the password, information technology just shows the Checking incoming server settings message and the the spinning circle. Then annoying!

I had this same thing happen to my Samsung Galaxy s5 phone, and searched the cyberspace for a solution. Later trying all the solutions I read about, and when none of them worked, I tried going to mail.google.com ,that was mentioned on ane site, on my home reckoner.

I logged in using my Galaxy s5 email account name, and was asked to send a message to my smartphone, which asks if y'all are the 1 making the request. In one case I selected "aye," I was in my Gmail account for my smartphone. The reason I went to post.google.com on my dwelling house computer, was to check the Business relationship Blazon for my business relationship; whether information technology was imap or pop3. I tried entering my password but found the 1 I'd written down wasn't the one the organisation was expecting--my goof in writing downwards my password. So, I clicked on "forgot password" to enter a new password. Once that was done, I written down accurately, I was granted access to my smartphone Gmail account.

Once the gear on the upper right is clicked on, a driblet down menu appears. One time Settings is selected, the principal settings for the business relationship can be viewed by selecting whichever heading at the top of the folio. Selecting Forward and Imap or Pop3, I call up it said, will have yous to the folio with the imap or pop3 data on it. Clicking on Learn More under either Pop3 or Imap will bring upwardly detailed information for those account types. Since Pop3 was disabled, and Imap was enabled, I clicked on the Learn More for Imap. In one case I wrote down port numbers, and other information I wanted to accept on hand, I went to my Galaxy s5.

What worked for me, so far, was to delete my Gmail address in the Android Email app, and setup the app equally if I had a new account. I entered my Gmail address, the new password I'd change while in my Gmail account, chose Manual setup, simply ran into some blazon of problem--bad fingers on the keyboard, I recollect. At the Incoming post screen, I made certain the port number I got from my Gmail business relationship was correct and selected Done. A trouble was encountered as the app couldn't authenticate the account and would not get to the Outgoing mail screen. Later on several tries and receiving the same message, I started over completely. I deleted the Gmail accost and countersign I'd entered, and reentered both once again, again selecting Manual Setup. This time the showtime setting immune authentication and the Outgoing mail screen appeared, as did each successive screen.

And then far, and it's been over an hour, non one notification of "sign-in failed" has appeared. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I too sussed out that this problem began when Yahoo had been hacked once again and insisted I alter the password. Then having checked I take the correct incoming and approachable message settings, and password on the Galaxy S4 and however getting a failure notice, I have now got an email from Yahoo saying they had blocked the sign in attempt as the source 'does not use modernistic security standards' and to switch to Yahoo Mail app. Now thoroughly confused as that is exactly what I am using and have done for past year. True, I had ignored emails from Yahoo nigh continuing to use lower security something or other, but they never explained exactly what they meant or what was depression security near the something or other! I accept seen some forums advise deleting existing app and reinstalling information technology. I'one thousand not mobile-savvy and have no idea how to exercise this anyway! Seems to me I am just suffering from the sub-standard security issues that Yahoo had and their ineptitude in explaining how to resolve resultant problems. Meanwhile 'sign on failed' the pinging is driving me nuts!

I changed my Microsoft Outlook email password yesterday on my laptop. I had to log in to email again when I turned on my Samsung Galaxy three. I entered the correct, new password and Outlook opened as usual. Today I got the very same "sign in failed" that is described here. This is what I did: I uninstalled the Microsoft Outlook app on my Galaxy. I reinstalled it and signed in again with the new countersign. Problem solved. No more than sign in failed, no more annoying hiccup sounds every ten minutes.

Welcome to Android Cardinal! I don't think it means someone else is trying to log in. Stock Email apps do this kind of thing from fourth dimension to time, even if your electronic mail business relationship seems to exist syncing ok. Endeavour removing the e-mail account from the E-mail app, then add it back again.

I've washed that, and my notifications were colour coded, they're still stake grey which they should be the color set from my Email equally it was my primary Email I was using. It logs onto my games and other apps simply fine using my email, but it's bothering they aren't the same color they previously were.

YAHOO Mail APP appeared an effect - key pad not pop upwards when I tried to type or respond.
Just some play a trick on checked on my device SAMSUNG Milky way S5 which work perfect:
earlier sending or replying demand to attach any file and only afterwards attachment key pad popular upwardly.
So you type whatever yous need and remove attachment and send.
Try and respond how it works for you.
